11/12. Old army.

“Excuse us. Old Army coming through.”

10 years? Hmm. No, that would have been 2004… 12 years? Yep, that would have been 2002.. We graduated in 2002.

Today Ian and I returned to our college with some of our closest friends. There’s nothing like going back to college to make you feel old. Cute girls and handsome boys at the football game just lovin’ life.

We had a great time, too. BUT… I missed my kids. I realized just how much I love my life now and I wouldn’t change it for anything in the world.

As we walked back to our car at midnight when the game was over (disappointed that we lost) we cut in a line of young college students..
Ian, the wise guy that he is, said, “Excuse us. Old Army coming through.” So appropriate, my love. We ARE old. But I love it.

This is part of a series called 31 Days of Living the Good Life.
