Merriam-Webster Dictionary defines the word mother as ‘a female parent.’ That’s accurate, I suppose. However, I’d define the word in other ways.
*woman who places her child’s needs ahead of her own
*woman who educates her child about the world and teaches him how to survive in it
*woman who loves her child more than anyone else in the world
*woman who carries part of said child’s heart in her own for the remaining days of her life
(not listed but also part of job description are the following: boo boo kisser, middle-of-the-night bad dream soother, medicine dispenser, birthday party planner, onion picker-outer when said child doesn’t like them in his food, book reader, personal groomer, tantrum calmer, personal shopper, finger and toe nail clipper, all-around happiness granter, the list could go on and on…)
WHAT DID I MISS? HELP ME ADD TO THIS LIST OF MOTHER DESCRIPTORS 🙂
Bonus points for whoever knows which of my children I’m holding in the photo above.
Have a wonderful day, friends!
