We had a wonderful day! Many special things happened today…
Emma’s first day of second grade
Luke’s half birthday
Boys had water day at school
Emma lost another tooth at school
Soccer practice resumed for Emma
I also found a china cabinet thanks to a sweet friend who knew I was looking for one. It was at Goodwill for a fabulous price! A little elbow grease and some paint should do the trick! Unfortunately I had to take out all 3 of the kids’ carseats to bring it home. It was so humid that I was soaked in sweat when I put the carseats back in at 2pm. I decided another shower for me was in order after that.
We had ice cream after school to celebrate Emma and Luke, and came home for a short while before heading out for soccer practice. It was nice to catch up with friends at soccer practice since we hadn’t seen them all summer.
We had a half cheese, half pepperoni pizza for dinner to celebrate Luke’s half birthday and we gave him a small toy UPS brown truck as a birthday surprise. (He LOVES UPS trucks!) We let him have it in his bed and I can still hear him rolling around in his bed. We hit the nail on the head with this surprise. Now I have something valuable to take away when I discipline. 🙂
Needless to say, we had a very busy and eventful day and everyone was in bed by 7:30!!! I’m not too far behind. 🙂
We are so blessed!!! This is a much better place than where we were just one year ago. I’m so grateful!
