“Mommy, what can I do?” Emma must have asked me that six times this morning. After working on her handwriting, helping me stuff a pillow, and purposely freezing water in a bowl to see what would happen, I decided that she was bored.
“You’re bored, aren’t you?” I asked. “A little,” she replied. “Good thing school is going to start again, huh?” “Yes,” she smiled. “Do you ever get bored at school?” I asked. “Not at all. “There’s always something to do there.”
Aaaaaaaand there you have it. As much as she has enjoyed the summer, she is ready to go back to school. It makes me a little sad, but I’m mostly glad that she loves school so much. Our little conversation confirms that homeschool isn’t for our family. Hip hip hooray!!!
Love,
Denisse
